SMS Terms and Conditions

Afortus, LLC. Last updated: July 2026.

These SMS Terms and Conditions govern text messages sent by Afortus, LLC ("Afortus," "we," "us," or "our"). Enrollment in one Afortus messaging program does not enroll you in another program. Afortus obtains separate consent when required for each message purpose.

1. Afortus Messaging Programs

  • Inquiry and appointment messages: responses to a request you submit, appointment scheduling, confirmations, reminders, changes, and related follow-up.
  • Agent appointment notifications: appointment assignments, confirmations, changes, cancellations, and related agent workflow notices for agents who separately enable those messages.
  • Software support: replies and status updates for support conversations initiated by a user or separately authorized by the user.
  • New Business updates: separately authorized application, requirement, processing, and status messages associated with an active New Business workflow.
  • Contracting updates: separately authorized contracting status, requirement, appointment, document, and follow-up messages associated with an active contracting workflow.
  • Account security: one-time passcodes and security messages requested as part of an authentication or account-security action.

Afortus does not use consent to one of these programs as consent for promotional or unrelated text messages. Marketing text messages, if offered, require a separate express written opt-in.

2. How You Enroll

You may enroll through an optional unchecked checkbox on an Afortus form, through a separate preference in an authenticated Afortus service, or by initiating a text conversation with Afortus. The enrollment disclosure identifies the applicable program and message purpose. Text-message consent is voluntary and is not a condition of purchase or access to a primary service.

3. Message Frequency and Charges

Message frequency varies based on the program you select and your activity. Account-security programs generally send one message per request. Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier with questions about your text or data plan.

4. Help and Support

Reply HELP for help. You may also contact Afortus at contact@afortus.com or 877-756-0550.

5. How to Opt Out

Reply STOP to cancel text messages from the applicable sender. Afortus will send a confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, after which no further messages will be sent from that program unless you enroll again. Supported opt-out keywords may also include UNSUBSCRIBE, END, QUIT, and HALT. To re-enroll after opting out, reply START or complete a new opt-in for the applicable program. A request to stop one program does not revoke consent for a distinct program or prevent non-SMS communications where permitted.

6. Delivery and Carrier Responsibility

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to carrier availability, network conditions, device compatibility, and other conditions outside Afortus's control.

7. Privacy and Consent Records

Afortus handles personal information and messaging consent as described in the Privacy Policy. Mobile opt-in data and consent are not sold, rented, transferred, or shared with third parties. Afortus may retain the date, time, source, disclosure version, program, phone number, and related evidence needed to document consent and opt-out requests.

8. Changes

Afortus may update these SMS Terms and Conditions. The current version will be posted on this page with the applicable last-updated date. Material changes will be handled as required by law and applicable carrier rules.
